Thomas V. Grasso

Senior Advisor on Climate and the Enviroment

Thomas V. Grasso is a Senior Executive, Strategist and Advisor on Climate change, Food Systems and nature. He has over 25 years’ experience working in the conservation and sustainable development having worked on such programs and initiatives in Europe, Africa, the Americas, southeast Asia and the Pacific. He brings extensive experience in building effective partnerships and governance systems in support of sustainable use of natural resources for the benefits of people and communities that rely on those resources for their livelihoods. Most recently he served as Vice President of Climate Resilient Food Systems for the Environmental Defense Fund. Prior to that he led the Oceans Initiative for the Walton Family Foundation. 

He holds a Juris Doctorate from the Washington College of Law at the American University in Washington DC, B.A. in Political Science from the University of Rochester. He was selected as an Emerging Leader for Innovation Across Systems Fellow program of M.I.T. Sloan School of Business along with 20+ colleagues from across the globe. He is also a recipient  of the International Atlantic Salmon Federation's Lee Wulff Conservation Award, for his work to protect the endangered wild Atlantic Salmon while working for the World Wildlife Fund. Mr. Grasso lives in Vermont, USA  with his wife.
