School nutrition and child development: Investing for better health and learning outcomes

Ertharin Cousin and a panel of leading child nutrition experts explored the importance of school nutrition in child development and the need for targeted investments/programming to ensure that all children receive the sustenance they need to thrive academically, physically, and emotionally. The discussion examined solutions that are nourishing children's bodies, as well as their aspirations; expanding access to nutritious food for children; and/or empowering children and their families with the information and tools they need to eat more wholesome foods. The conversation also explored key federal policies that are supporting/would support improved nutrition outcomes for children.
